Michael Garrison, ChFC, CFP®

Michael has been helping individuals achieve their financial goals for nearly 35 years. He began his investment career in 1983 and was immediately drawn to the personalized nature of work in financial planning. He joined Thomson McKinnon Securities in 1984 as a financial consultant and founded his own practice in 1989.

Michael earned his Certified Financial Planner professional designation in 2006 and is also a Chartered Financial Consultant. He is the creator of The Financial Freedom Navigator, a holistic and highly disciplined approach to investment and wealth management. He is also the founder of The Charitable Partners Program for charitably conscious investors.

A graduate of the Cardigan Mountain School and the Hoosac School, he attended the University of Denver and earned his ChFC designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Michael also attended the Wharton Business School executive education program in 2003.

Michael and his family reside in Chatham, Massachusetts, where he is active in a wide range of civic, social and educational organizations. He also served as the financial editor for WOCN-FM in Cape Cod and produces a biweekly radio program, “The Garrison Report.”
